Product Updates #30: We Have Something to Show You

Hey there! We’ve got some super exciting development updates to share with you!

From the global: we’re getting closer and closer to the mainnet on Cardano, the public release of YF, and to showing you the Spectrum Network (we’ll start talking more about it soon).

Check out what we’ve done in the last 2 weeks:

🌐 Spectrum Network:

• Working on the Spectrum consensus implementation. Made mocks of the necessary functions for generating random to select committee and slot leaders (who have the right to sign blocks). So we need a protocol that allows you to get random values within the decentralized system and select an epoch consensus group and a slot leaders, working on assembling everything into a single protocol.
• Added support for one-shot messaging into Spectrum p2p for more efficient Handel aggregation.

🔁 Spectrum Finance on Ergo:

• Fixing various bugs in the bots (WIP);
• Squashing more bugs in the bots as public tests are winding up (WIP)
• Implemented Continuous Integration (CI) to generate binaries for yield farming off-chain bots. CI is a software development practice that helps automate software building, testing, and deployment to make the development process more efficient and reliable.

🤖 Spectrum Finance on Cardano:

• Fixing execution bots reward (WIP);
• Optimizing execution fee (WIP);
• Scanning Mempool transactions (WIP);
• Finished new transaction builder.

🛠 Backend:

• Integrating on CMC and CoinGecko (WIP);
• Fixed minor bugs and made API improvements.

🎨 Frontend:

Cardano:

• Fixing asynchronous validators. Validators are used to check if data entered by the user meets certain requirements, and asynchronous validation allows for these checks to be performed without blocking the UI (WIP).
